Opportunities to Serve
Support the Children of Belarus
Host a Belarussian child in your home this summer
Children come from Belarus to the U.S. for six (6) weeks to rest and recover from the effects of living in areas contaminated by radiation from the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. The children are hosted by families in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Experts say for every 6 weeks the children are out of the radiation, as much as 2 years can be added to their life expectancy.
Go on a mission trip
Summer camps in Belarus, Eleuthera, and Nicaragua
Summer mission trips to Belarus and Eleuthera Bahamas are scheduled in June and July each summer. Resources are provided for camp supplies, food for snacks and meals, transportation and housing. This is a great opportunity to help children and build personal relationships. In Summer 2015, new camps will be supported in Minagua, Nicaragua.

Sponsor a youth or help with supplies
Mission trips change the lives for the volunteers that travel to help others as well as the children and communities that are served. Partial scholorships are made available to youth and young adults that want to go on a mission trip, but might not have the ability to fully fund their trip.
A building to support the basic needs of children
Hope Centers are built to help poor communities care for their children. A Hope Center can be a group foster home, a refuge for unwed mothers and their babies, a food pantry to support local families with children or a children's learning center that provides hot meals. Overflowing Hands has funded a Hope Center in Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova. In 2015 we will be working with 6 communities in Nicaragua to build Hope Centers to help feed and support the children.
